One of the most common questions we get: how much does it cost to hire a private boat with skipper in Ibiza or Formentera? Honest answer: it depends. But in this article we explain everything with no small print.
What types of hire exist?
There are two main types:
Bareboat charter: You skipper the boat yourself. You need a nautical licence and experience. The boat-only price may seem cheaper, but you take on full responsibility.
Charter with skipper: A professional captain handles the boat. You simply enjoy the trip. The most popular option for groups who want to relax and explore without worries.
How much does it cost at Formentera Yacht?
Our full-day routes (10:00 to 17:00) are priced at €750 all-inclusive: boat, skipper with 21 years of experience and fuel.
For the sunset route at Es Vedrà (19:00 to 22:00) the price is €580.
If you want the full afternoon plus sunset (14:30 to 22:00), the price is €800.
What's included in the price?
Everything you need for a perfect day at sea:
- Professional skipper with 21 years of experience
- Fuel
- Paddleboard
- Snorkel masks and tubes
- On-board Wi-Fi
- Fridge
- External speakers
- Swim platform and water access ramp
- Awning and sunbathing areas
- GPS, autopilot and tender dinghy
What's not included?
Food and drink. You are welcome to bring whatever you like on board — we have a fridge to keep it cold.
Is it worth it?
If you split €750 between 7 people (maximum capacity), that's €107 per person for a full day at sea with an expert skipper, complete equipment and access to coves you simply cannot visit any other way. Hard to find better value in Ibiza or Formentera.
